U.S iOS non-gaming in-app purchase transactions 2017-2020, by price
In 2020, around 65 percent of the in-app purchases (IAPs) offered by leading non-gaming apps available to iOS users in the United States were priced under 10 U.S. dollars. Between 2017 and 2020, the number of in-app purchases priced between 0.49 and 9.99 U.S. dollars experienced a downward trend. By comparison, the number of IAPs with more expensive price ranges increased during the examined period. In 2020, the number of IAPs priced between 10 and 49.99 U.S. dollars increased by almost 10 percent year-over-year.
