This statistic displays the results of a survey on the distribution of vigorous physical activity frequencies in the European Union (EU) in 2017, by employment. The survey was conducted via face-to-face interviews and gathered data from 28,031 respondents in December 2017, across Europe. In 2017, it was found that 33 percent of self-employed respondents stated that they did vigorous physical activities such as lifting heavy things, digging, aerobics or fast cycling on one to three days within the last week.
