Oslo was the most expensive Norwegian city to buy a dwelling in 2019. The average residence price was over 75 thousand Norwegian kroner per square meter that year. The next city in the ranking was the Northern city of Tromsø, where dwellings cost nearly 50 thousand Norwegian kroner per square meter. Trondheim, Bergen and Stavanger followed.
Number of sold dwellings
The number of sold dwellings in Norway fluctuated during/over the period from 2015 to 2019. It peaked in 2018, when nearly 9.5 thousand dwellings had been sold. As of 2019, the corresponding figure was around nine thousand dwellings.
