India: average pre-berthing time at Deendayal Port 2022

In the financial year 2022, the average time before a cargo ship was berthed at the Deendayal Port, also known as the Kandla Port in the Indian state of Gujarat stood at just around 2.3 days. In simple words, pre-berthing time was the time the ship or the vessel needed to wait before it could enter in the berth. The port sector of the South Asian country handled over 1.3 billion metric tons of cargo in 2022. A major portion of this cargo was handled by the major ports.
