Apple yield per hectare in Norway 2010-2018
In Southern, Eastern and Western Norway, apples are grown. The conditions there are most suitable for the growing of apples. During the years from 2011 to 2018, the agricultural area used for apple cultivation in the country fluctuated in size. While the land amounted to 1,429 hectares in 2010, it amounted 1,455 hectares in 2018. In this year, the amount of apples harvested per hectare in the country was 10.27 metric tons.

The production volume of Aroma raud apples was highest in Norway. This apple type is very similar to that of the Swedish-origin Aroma. In 2018, production reached a volume of more than 1.8 thousand metric tons in Norway. With a volume of roughly 1.7 thousand metric tons, the production of Summerred apples was close.
Average producer price
During the time period from 2007 to 2017, the average producer price of apples in Norway fluctuated. It peaked in 2010 at 10,970 Norwegian kroner per metric ton. By the end of this period, the average apple producer price was 10,210 Norwegian kroner per metric ton.
