Health spending in El Salvador as share of GDP 2010-2021
Spending on health represented ten percent of El Salvador's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021, up from nine percent recorded a year earlier. During the period depicted, this figured ranged from an equivalent of eight to ten percent of the country's GDP. In comparison, that year Cuba's healthcare spending corresponded to 14 percent of its GDP, the highest value reported among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
