The hydropower consumption in Mexico amounted to 7.3 million metric tons of oil equivalent in 2018, up from 7.3 million metric tons of oil equivalent a year earlier. The consumption of hydropower in the aforementioned country peaked in 2008 reaching almost nine million metric tons of oil equivalent.
