Passenger revenue of JR Kyushu Shinkansen in Japan FY 2014-2023
In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023, Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) earned around 44 billion Japanese yen of revenue with its high-speed railway Shinkansen, increasing from 27.4 billion in the preceding year. Belonging to the Japan Railways Group, the 1987-established Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) commenced its Shinkansen in 2003 (fully opened in 2011). The company inaugurated its new Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen in September 2022, strengthening the high-speed railway network on the southern main island.
