Average ransom paid by companies hit by ransomware Philippines 2020-2021
According to a survey conducted by Sophos, the average ransom paid by organizations in the Philippines amounted to 1.34 million U.S. dollars, indicating a significant increase from the previous years. Ransomware attacks doubled between 2020 and 2021 across the globe and ransom payments have significantly increased.
