A survey carried out in early 2022 revealed that 49 percent of consumers worldwide are likely to walk, cycle, or use public transport instead of driving a car to limit their contribution to climate change. Around 72 percent of respondents in China stated that they would likely change their transportation habits to a more sustainable option, making it the country with the highest willingness to change on this matter. On the other hand, the US ranked last among the countries surveyed, with only a third of respondents saying they would do so.
