Voters' perceptions of political advertising in the U.S. 2022
Over 75 percent of eligible voters surveyed in the United States in 2022 reported they tend to tune out or ignore political ads. According to the study, roughly 60 percent of respondents considered political advertising unethical, and the majority (76.5 percent) supported the regulation of political ads on social media. Additionally, around 64 percent declared that consumer data should not be available to political advertisers.
