According to a 2022 report, #ukraine was the hashtag that Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) used the most frequently in 2022, appearing more than ten thousand times during the year. Overall, the leading hashtags used by MEPs in 2022 included many references to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In 2022, MEPs used the hashtags #standwithukraine 3,292 times, #putin 2,993 times, and #russia 2,805 times.
