Share of people reducing food waste in Japan 2018-2023
The awareness for food waste issues is rising in Japan and as such, the implementation of measures is increasing among consumers. Almost 77 percent of consumers in Japan have adopted measures to reduce food waste, according to a survey conducted in September 2023. This marked a slight decrease compared to the previous year.
