Type of changes recommended for veteran health facilities in the U.S. in 2022
In March 2022, the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) recommended the closure of 139 outpatient clinics and establishment of 109 new outpatient clinics. Between 2018 and 2022, the VA carried out a nationwide assessment of its health care infrastructure and provided recommendations for changes to be made in its health care facilities. The VA plans to renovate and reorganize the health care infrastructure to provide easy access and better quality care to veterans in the United States.
