In 2022, Illinois was the leading state for electricity consumed from nuclear energy sources in the United States. In 2022 some 98.8 terawatt-hours of nuclear power generated electricity was used in the state. Pennsylvania, where nuclear electric consumption was around 76 terawatt-hours, followed. The ranking of nuclear electricity consumption by state correlated with nuclear power generation by state.
