What you do
Research & content management tasks:
- Conducting desktop research using secondary data sources on the global, North American, and European markets in energy and natural resources with a specific focus on the electricity, plastic, and rubber industries.
- Developing an understanding of valid data sources and potential data partners in the industry
- Active generation of interesting and engaging research topics for database development in close communication with the team lead and fellow editors
- Managing the SEO-optimized web content via the Statista Content Management System (CMS) in accordance with department goals and guidelines by monitoring usage and keeping the database up to date
- Editing, publishing, and contextualizing statistical information accurately in English via the statista.com platform, according to the Statista editorial and documentation guidelines
- Creating and maintaining a host of editorial products, including individual statistics, statistics reports (expanded data reports), as well as topic- and industry-specific written reports
- Striving to develop an in-depth knowledge of your industry topics \n
Who you are
- Successful completion of undergraduate studies (geography, chemistry, engineering, environmental studies, or other fields related to electricity or plastics are an asset but not required)
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills—editorial experience in English is a bonus (Please send us your CV and cover letter in English)
- Portuguese language skills are a bonus but not a requirement
- Strong data literacy: the ability to describe complicated data in a concise and comprehensible manner
- Structured, organized, and independent working style with attention to quality, detail, and accuracy
- Knowledge and interest in electricity, plastics, and rubber industry trends
