Perceptions on factors that are most likely to result in a fatality in Australia 2020
In 2020, in a survey on phone use while driving in Australia, 28.5 percent of respondents believed that texting while driving was most likely to result in a road fatality. Among the top three factors were also drink driving and not wearing a seatbelt. Speeding was perceived to be the least likely factor to contribute to a road fatality.
