At the same time, the box office revenue in the country also generally grew from roughly 937 million Danish kroner in 2011 to more than one billion Danish kroner in 2018.

How many tickets were sold in Denmark?

According to a different study, the number of cinema tickets sold in Denmark remained stable over the past years, reaching over 12.8 million as of 2019. The most tickets were sold in the Capital Region of Denmark with roughly 5.2 million in the mentioned year. The Central Denmark Region (2.65 million) and Region of Southern Denmark (nearly 2.4 million sold tickets) ranked second and third respectively.
