Italy: individuals using private accredited hospitals

The share of individuals who resorted to a private accredited hospital the last time they have had a health issue in Italy fluctuated between 2010 and 2019. An all-time low was registered in 2017, when this figure was equal to just 13.6 percent of the individuals who resorted to hospital services. On the other hand, the share peaked in 2015 at 18.9 percent. In 2019, 18.6 percent of the respondents resorted to a private accredited hospital the last time they have had a health issue.
