The content that Gen Z consumers prefer to watch is the primary factor influencing their decisions to keep streaming subscriptions in the United States. In a 2023 survey, roughly three in four respondents aged 16 to 18 years expressed a strong preference for new releases to keep a video streaming subscription. The cost of the service was the second most important decision factor for 16 to-24-year-olds.
