Leading own-damage motor insurers India FY 2019 by GWP share
In financial year 2019, the public sector insurance company, New India Assurance led the motor own damage insurance segment in India with a gross weighted premium share of over 17 percent. This was followed by the private insurer ICICI Lombard at around 13 percent. The industry gross weighted premium that year amounted to nearly 265 billion Indian rupees.
