Type of brands consumers plan to stay loyal to during a recession in the U.S. 2022
In the face of a recession, consumers in the United States reported they tend to stay loyal to brands they already trust, according to a survey conducted in 2022. Nearly 20 percent of the respondents, the highest share, planned to keep buying the brands they have used the longest. Roughly 15 percent of consumers stated that they would stick to entirely American brands if a recession strikes, while around 12 percent would keep loyal to brands that give back to the community.
