United States - ISIS as a threat 2014

This statistic shows the results of a survey among American adults on whether they consider the extremist group ISIS ("Islamic State of Iraq and Syria", also IS - "Islamic State") in Iraq and Syria a threat to the vital interests of the United States. ISIS follows jihadist and anti-Western principles, and claims to be responsible for the killing of several Western hostages. During this survey, which was conducted in September 2014, 50 percent of respondents stated they consider the Islamic militants in Iraq and Syria a critical threat to the vital interests of the United States.
