General account budget national debt service expenditures in Japan 2014-2023
In the fiscal year 2023, the initial budget for national debt service expenditure of the national government in Japan amounted to approximately 25.25 trillion Japanese yen, the highest amount of the past decade. Within the observed period, the budget has increased gradually, with the the revised final budget number of each fiscal year usually trending around three to five percent above the initially announced number.
