Book or magazine reading share by Japanese per month 2016, by age group
The statistic displays the share of people reading at least one book or magazine in a month in Japan in 2016, broken down by age group. A look at the statistic reveals, that more than two thirds of survey respondents claimed to read one or more books or magazines in a month. The highest share of readers was among Japanese aged between 40 and 49, as well as 60 and 69 with about 74 percent.
