This graph shows the share of U.S. adults aged 40 years and older with caregiving experience who had select feelings about providing care as of 2017, by care recipient mental ability. It was found that 86 percent of respondents who were taking or took care of a recipient who had loss of mental abilities stated that their experience is/was stressful.
