Global reduction potential of emissions by select sector 2030
With the existence of today's emission abatement technologies, it has been estimated that the global emission reduction potential in 2030 could reach between 30 and 36 metric gigatons of carbon dioxide equivalent. In the energy sector, the emission reduction potential is estimated to be about 12.2 metric gigatons of carbon dioxide equivalent by 2030.
