UK: turnover index for media and publishing companies 2020

In Q4 2020, turnover of UK motion picture, video and television production, sound recording, and music publishing companies reached 109.2 index points. Although staying above an index of 100, the turnover of UK media and publishing firms nevertheless decreased significantly compared to Q4 2019. However, when compared with the turnover of German and French companies, or the EU-27 average it becomes clear that the UK industry initially managed to navigate the problems that faced the industry in 2020 better than others.
