Retail media advertising market size in Japan 2021-2027
The annual spending of advertisers on retail media advertising in Japan was estimated at 362.5 billion Japanese yen in 2023. The size of the market, which encompasses both e-commerce and store operators, was expected to increase to more than 933 billion yen by 2027. This forecast was based on the assumption that there would be a continued high demand from advertisers for advertising provided by large e-commerce operators as well as a rapid increase in demand for advertising provided by store operators.
