Mental health telemedicine services in Colombia 2020-2021, by reason for calling
most common mental health interventions given remotely in Colombia during that period.
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the Colombian Ministry of Health launched a telemedicine program aimed at providing mental health counseling and assistance to the population. Between April 2020 and April 2021, anxiety symptoms topped the list of reasons for contacting the service, accounting for around 18.51 percent of interventions provided through the initiative. Stress reactions followed, which represented about 15.56 percent of mental health interventions performed. Monitoring of mental health problems and psychological counseling were among the
